This policy explains how ECTV (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use ectv.app and the ECTV apps.
1. Who we are
ECTV is an IPTV player. We do not sell or provide playlists or TV content. Contact: support@ectv.app.
2. Information we collect
Account
- Email and password (stored as a hash)
- Optional name
- Membership / subscription status and related billing metadata
Playlist and devices
- Playlist settings you choose to save (provider type, server URL, username and similar fields)
- Device IDs used for EC Link and sync
Playlist credentials are stored so they can sync to devices you link. Treat them like passwords.
Payments
Premium payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe may share customer and subscription IDs and status with us.
Technical data
- Basic server logs (IP, time, request path) for security and reliability
- Device details needed for linking and support
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use information
- To run your account and keep it secure
- To sync playlists and membership to linked devices
- To process Premium subscriptions and stop abuse
- To provide support and keep the Service working
- To meet legal duties and enforce our Terms
4. Legal bases
Where UK/EEA law applies, we process data for contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security and reliability) and legal duty where required. We ask for consent when the law needs it.
5. Sharing
- Payment processors (such as Stripe)
- Hosting providers for ectv.app
- Authorities when the law requires it
We do not share your playlist with other users. Streams go between your device and your provider.
6. Retention
We keep account and playlist data while your account is active. To delete your account, email support@ectv.app. We may keep some data when the law or security requires it.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong unique password.
8. Children
The Service is not aimed at children under 16. Contact us if you think a child has given us personal data.
9. International transfers
Hosting or processors may store data in the UK, EEA, US or elsewhere. Where needed, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to some processing. Email support@ectv.app. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
11. App stores
If you download ECTV from Apple, Google or Amazon, their privacy terms also apply to download and purchase data they handle.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the update.
